WebShea understands Vancian style and the character of Cugel. His dying earth is more chilling than Vance’s and had plenty of creepy places and creatures. As it got going, Shea did display a good sense of humour which is a hallmark of the Cugel and Rhialto dying earth stories. I was a bit nervous because the start was shaky and dry.
